Alternative to PHPmyadmin

Is there any other tool that can be used as alternative to PHPmyadmin. I have found lots of problem while working in PHPmyadmin. I would like some standalone software like Access which can work in place of PHPmyadmin.

Is there one ?

PHPMyadmin is a third party

PHPMyadmin is a third party script which can you help you manage MYSQL database better. It is not a database application like MYSQL or Access. You can work with MYSQL even without PHPMyAdmin. But if you're after productivity, you should stick with PHPMyAdmin.

The only thing I know is a Mac desktop application that is very neat in substituting phpmyadmin. :)
